There a lot of variables when using wine, like what Desktop Manager are you using KDE4(3)/Gnome/LXDE etc, what file manager are you using Nautilus, Dolphin or Konqy.
It's a wine bug with the desktop manager integration,
you should ask for help at the wine forums

I have this problem as well. But under different system specs.

I download a PDF, I open it in Sumatra, and after I close it, and attampt to reopen it, I get the error "Error loading C:\Users\myusername\Desktop\somethingsomething.pdf"?

Very odd. Somehow the PDF disappears. After that I retry with Adobe Reader, and that can't open it either, the file's now corrupted.

I suspect two things, but there's no scientific base for these suspicions. First is that this mostly happens with PDFs with long filenames.

Second is that this happened while I downloaded the PDF via Firefox using the Incognito Mode. This might be related...

I'm on Windows 7 x64 with Sumatra 2.5.2
